Governor Maura Healey Releases FY 2027 Budget Proposal

On January 28, 2026 Governor Healey released her budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year. The spending proposal highlights the administration’s priority investments in affordability, competitiveness, and equity. Key investments in housing include:

  1. Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program – $278.3 million
  2. Alternative Housing Voucher Program – $19.3 million
  3. Rental Assistance for Families in Transition – $201.2 million
  4. Housing Consumer Education Centers – $5.0 million
  5. Public Housing Operating – $117.8 million
  6. HomeBASE – $82.3 million
  7. Access to Counsel – $2.5 million
